Who should attend a CEE weekend ?
You have been going around together seriously for a while
and have decided to get married at church? You are considering making a commitment to one
another ? Engaged or not, living together or not, Catholic Engaged
Encounter offers you a weekend for lover to cherish your future love plans and to prepare
for Christian marriage!
Why live an Engaged Encounter weekend?

the year 2000; to discover the deep sense of Christian marriage. |

If we pass so many months preparing the
"Great Day", maybe we would like to give us 44 hours of ourselves to prepare a
lifetime experience! |

What are the subjects presented ?
Nearly all aspects of married life and particularly,
Christian marriage: communication, faith, family, sexuality, unity, forgiveness, marital
fidelity, the sense of sacrament... The emphasis is put on sharing of feelings and
communication within the couple; the technical questions (legal aspects, medical) are not
approached formally.
What happens on a CEE weekend ?

This week-end is especially not a course!
Catholic Engaged Encounter is instead an experience for the couple. We do not pretend to
teach you how to live within your marriage. However, we challenge ourselves to provide you
the occasion to discover one another, to find out the richness of your love, the greatness
of the sacrament of marriage, and to help you provide the means to live it fully. |

The weekend is leaded by two married couples
and a priest or other religious who share their real-life experience by means of a series
of presentations. Afterwards, there are personal reflections through answering a series of
questions by writing, and then a dialogue between the couple. |
|
If you do not like to share your experiences
and your feelings in a large group, CEE is a marriage preparation formula which will
interest you. Each couple shares through private discussions with one another, in a
pleasant atmosphere of quietness, intimacy and relaxation. |
|
Engaged Encounter is an intensive weekend which
takes place from Friday night to Sunday afternoon. |
|
The weekend terminates by the Sunday Liturgy. |
And if we are not engaged ?
Even if you are not engaged, the CEE weekend will allow you
to deepen and enrich your relationship. The engagement in the Christian marriage is though
clearly approached; for some couples, the weekend allow them clarify their decision to
marry at Church.
Engaged Encounter is designed to all couples who prepare for
Christian marriage, unregard to their age and experience, engaged or not |
